Procedures
Parish Council meetings are formal events with a clear purpose - to make decisions. To ensure meetings run smoothly the Parish Council operates by following set procedures known as Standing Orders.
Meetings start at 7:00pm and a limited period is set aside at the start of each meeting for public participation where the public or community groups can bring matters to the attention of the Parish Council, seek advice and comment on local issues. These procedures are detailed under Standing Orders.
If the Parish Council is required to make a decision or support a scheme, the matter must be included as a specific agenda item. The agenda item will explain the matter and may include a summary of any action the Parish Council is requested to consider taking.
Agenda items must be submitted to the Clerk & Responsible Finance Officer at least one week before the date of the meeting, as this is when the agenda will be produced and printed.
